Planetary Shifts This Month

Jupiter in Libra opposes Uranus in Aries - March 2nd  - This  aspect is around from the end of 2016 and most of 2017 so we are in a year where we want to break free of the restrictions that we feel. There may be an event that stirs our soul and changes our circumstances in order to break free. We crave more excitement, freedom and a fresh start.

Venus in Aries goes Retrograde - March 4th  -  This means from March 6th to April 15th our relationships are under evaluation of their meaning and worth to us. Since it is in Aries you may be wondering how balanced the relationship is to meet your needs as well as the other persons', and in some cases it can show you who the self absorbed or self centred ones are, and where you might be neglecting yourself. 

Mars in Taurus - March 9th -  Generally Mars in Taurus will be very down to earth, practical and thinking of material comfort and security .It is a provider type of mars.  It can also be very charming with others and very warm .Sometimes you will see the stubborn side of the bull come out with this Mars too, so as we go from March 9th to April 20th focus on getting very practical things done, and allow some fun and sensuality to enter the picture too. 

Mercury in Aries - March 14th - This means from March 14th to 31st people will be more inclined to be direct and blunt, impatient, wanting excitement not details.  We will be inclined to more quick or impulsive decisions vs thinking it through. They can be sensitive and defensive under this influence too. We will all have to be more patient with other' opinions. 

Jupiter in Libra Square Pluto in Capricorn - March 30th - this is one of the direct squares of this aspect but it began in 2016 and will last throughout 2017.  It gives us a lot of drive to succeed and go big.  This can stimulate ambitious drive and action, but it can also be obsessive compulsive. We have to make sure our drive to get to the top doesn't become ruthless and greedy or there will be a price to pay for it.  If you can maintain high ethics and temper your drive a bit, though you can really push ahead in a time like this.  Just remember, so will others and there can be a very competitive vibe in the air as you gather your power of influence, or increase your finances.

Major Aspects of this Full Moon

The Sun and Moon are always in opposition on a full moon so that's a given we feel the pull of these two light bodies and the inner and outer sides of ourselves. That's why we look to the other aspects it makes to see what quality it gives this time.  

This Full Moon we see the moon opposing not only the Sun, but Chiron ( the wounded healer) and Mercury ( communications).  Given that the axes of Pisces and Virgo is very often related to healing and or saving ourselves and others we can expect either a healing crisis or a breakthrough. We could also see ourselves digging in deeper to the victim and saviour complex too if we aren't careful.  There are always ways to help others without becoming personally responsible for their lives, or taking on someone else's problems in an escapist way - so you forget your own life and issues while busy helping or saving someone. This is what we need to heal this full moon.  Take a look at your life and see which side of this coin you are on.  Perhaps you allow others to always help you vs being more independent.  Or perhaps you are avoiding confronting your own issues by trying to fix someone.   Saturn is also Squaring this configuration adding more pressure and  to the mix.  it could bring some very deep and important conversations if you allow it - and please do!  It can also show , since Saturn is in Sagittarius, that someone may need more freedom in this relationship. You may need more space, or need to grant that to someone else.  We all need space in our healing process.

New Moon in Aries - March 27th 

New moons are always the time to plant a wish or idea or intention that can manifest by the full moon.  It's a dark moon, or black moon and sits in the same sign as the sun. A new moon in Aquarius can bring out our inner rebel or renegade. We feel a desire to break free and be independent, follow our own ideas or create something new vs resurrect the old. 

Major Aspects to this New Moon

The New Moon is usually a high energy symbolically due to the correlation with new beginnings and planting new seeds. However this New Moon has a subdued and perhaps even heavy feeling to it. All the planets sit at the bottom of this chart and the only thing carrying our mood upwards are Jupiter in Libra in the 11th house - which means friendships and communities can be our saving grace.  The cluster of planet sin Aries opposes it and shows us this enormous push and pull of  self interest vs society or groups.  In short it means you can crash inward if you obsess too much on your own life and problems. Expand yourself to think of the bigger picture, connect with groups and friends to see whatever you're dealing with you are NEVER the only one who is going through it.  The only other aspect I see that can help us pull out of a funk is the practical "get 'er done" energy of Mars in Taurus trine Pluto in Capricorn. This is a very ambitious and successful combo so if you apply it to your goals and aren't being ruthless or greedy you'll avoid being mired in any self pity that's in the air with a cluster in Aries, and Venus /Chiron Neptune in Pisces.  This new Moon  don' t be a martyr or a "looking out for nukber one".  Go pound the pavement and work hard, or get out there to your friends and communities to bond in the bigger picture of life together.
