Spiritual Solstice

December is about preparation of the mind
to harness another year and sow seeds for the next.
It's a time of rushing about planning dinners and gifts amidst the desire to just
be still...and sleep silent and warm

Solstice - the perihelion of the Sun to the Earth -
its' closest point to one another.
They kiss in the darkness and
the light begins anew

The height of Yin energy drawing in the feminine -
dark, wet, cold and receptive.
A time of meditation,
soul searchings are audible

Begging us to remain steadfast in our faith that the light
will return and we will once again be warm amongst the spring flowers

Self care and discernment have swept across our inner landscape
and we draw ever closer to those who are true
